OctoProbe News is an investigative desk covering national security, intelligence, digital targeting, online influence operations, and news verification through public records. We report from the open record: court filings, government documents released under the Freedom of Information Act and state and local open-records laws, leaked and hacked files we can authenticate, archived web pages, corporate and grant records, and internet infrastructure data.
Stories ask who is watching whom, who pays for it, and what the public record can prove. Every factual claim links to its source, and every story says what remains unproven.
What We Cover
- National Security and Intelligence. Intelligence services, leaks of their files, and the vetting of people with access to secrets.
- Digital Targeting. Public “enemies” lists, doxxing databases, and the tracking code behind them.
- Online Influence Operations. Who funds, staffs, and amplifies information campaigns, foreign and domestic.
- Infrastructure Investigations. What domain, server, and certificate records reveal about who runs a website.
- News Verification and Public Records. We verify claims in the news using open-source evidence and public records at the local, state and federal levels, including FOIA and state and local open-records requests.

Stories carry the name of the reporter responsible for them, and the byline links to that reporter’s author page. Desk-produced explainers and methodology pieces carry the OctoProbe News byline. The Bylines section explains how.
Ownership and Funding
OctoProbe News is owned and published by Redwing Technologies LLC. Redwing Technologies runs a portfolio of other SaaS products, including the OctoProbe investigation platform for law firms, licensed investigators, and analysts. Redwing funds the newsroom.
OctoProbe News does not run advertising or sponsored content, and does not accept payment for coverage. It takes no money from governments, political parties, campaigns, or lobbying organizations. Platform customers do not see stories before publication and have no say in what we cover. The Independence Rules keep the newsroom apart from the product business.
